About Kellie Stokes
Kellie Stokes is a sole practitioner, which allows her to give you the personal attention that you deserve from an attorney. Ms. Stokes focuses her practice on assisting families and individuals with developing an estate plan to meet their needs. This includes drafting wills, trusts, power of attorneys, and other needed documents. In the event of a death Ms. Stokes assists families with probating their loved one’s estate. Additionally, Ms. Stokes advises those starting a small business in Texas. This includes drafting documents to form a Texas business entity and contracts or other documents associated with starting a small business.
In addition to Ms. Stokes’ active legal practice she is a fee attorney for Freedom Title. Ms. Stokes is involved in the active real estate market and the legal aspects of real estate on a daily basis.
Ms. Stokes attended Southern Methodist University on a soccer scholarship. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Biology and went on to law school in 1995. Ms. Stokes attended Texas Wesleyan University School of Law, where she was president of the Moot Court Honors Program. She graduated in the top part of her class with a juris doctor degree in 1998.
Ms. Stokes is an active volunteeer with the City of Lewisville, where she is the Chairman of the Tax-Increment Financing Board, a fund set up to assist with the revitalization of Old Town Lewisville. Additionally, Ms. Stokes’ past involvement with Hope Worldwide, a non-profit organization that focuses on the well being of children through out the world, led her to adopt her daughter, Brooke Katerina, from Russia in 2002. Further, Ms. Stokes enjoys playing golf, soccer, traveling, and spending time with her family.
